What would you do if I sang out of tune, would you stand up and walk out on me?

...is a rhetorical question.

Holi is the only time I like pink!

It's been a Holi to remember. Tiring...and happy! My right hand and left foot are green, and left hand and right foot are pink... Makes me believe I'm one with nature and its balance. It's a good balance of colours too...goes with my pink face and neck. :) Ought to get some well deserved sleep now. Mum needs to be dropped off to the bus stand at 6:30. Hope you've all had a memorable and fun filled festival of colours too! Don't try to wash the colours off! They look good.

Thought hai

Please do unto yourself what you constantly have others doing unto you, you know? Because you are constant and others, temporary.

My case rests.

2 years later...

In line with previous post, I'm too attached to Blogger to just let it go, and I love tumblr's simplicity and reblog feature. So I don't know how, but I'm going to try and manage both the blogs and keep them in sync.

There was some cleaning up done in both the blogs and this one especially seems less cranky now.

 How have you blog-fellows been?

Cya around!

Confusion *

How on earth does one write about it? No...seriously! Like there aren't enough confusing things already! The IPL, for example!! How exactly does one decide which team to support? First of all, they're all Indian teams. To add to that, one team has an ex-captain who the entire country is emotionally attached to, another team has the best spinner the country has produced, yet another one has the most destructive batsman there is...and then one team has God himself. So one spends the whole 3 hours watching the match in nail biting excitement and ends up not knowing whether to be happy for the team that won or sad for the team that didn't!

And then there are the unavoidable commercials between overs. What exactly are you trying to sell, good sir? And why are they carrying away a packet of fast food on a stretcher!? And why....WHY would you want to rub salt in the wounds of an already confused mind?!

One could talk to some less confused friends to understand the ads...but only if the cell phone plans weren't so confusing! Different rates for calls to landlines and cellphones, local numbers and STD numbers, subscribers of the same service provider and different service provider, and different rates for day calls and night calls!! ... and then there are scores of SMS schemes! God help us!

Wait...which god?!

The proverb does say curiosity killed the cat, but with how things are, it seems very likely that confusion killed the cat – and then confused people into believing that curiosity did it. Whatever it may be, this cat is certainly going to die of confusion.

Stupidity..*

...is pretty easy to come by. There's an example right in front of you – my trying to write about it. In my defence I'd like to say, arguing about the topic with the teacher wasn't an option. So, i might as well get on with writing about it. Because not writing would be...well, stupid more than anything else. Though I could use my being human as an excuse for acting stupid and not writing this. Because being human makes me as immune to stupidity as Windows is to viruses. I've noticed people worry more about the viruses than about their own stupidity. Seeing how important a part of life technology has become (seriously, imagine a day without updating your tweets!), it seems valid to worry about them more. It's stupid actually – being so dependent on technology – don't you think? And it's surprising how something can sound logical and stupid at the same time. Goes to show how versatile stupidity can be! It's like an eerie force that is constantly looking for ways to express itself. And humans seem to be soft targets too. The great Albert Einstein put it beautifully when he said that there were two things that were infinite – the universe and human stupidity and he wasn't too sure about the former. A seriously intelligent remark. But intelligence is the opposite of stupidity. So stupidity can actually pull intelligence to it's side. I leave you with that scary thought. Hail Stupidity.

(* ...err... just something I was given to write on.)

Hmm??

Am i versatile ? Or am i clueless ?
